hai hello just checking in
hiiii!!! ik its been a while since my last blog post so i just wanted to make another one to update yall on my life happenings :3
sooo i broke tessa's (my main pc, idk if i already mentioned that's her name?) linux install. but its ok i reinstalled it! and the initial one was only from 2months ago so not much harm done thankfully... basically i was updating and it fell asleep in the middle of it, i tried to wake it back up but it wouldn't unlock properly so i rebooted hoping the update had already finished and i'd be ok to do so but clearly it hadn't... :( at the very least i know for next time to try to make sure it doesn't fall asleep in the middle of updating again. but man!! first time i ever rendered a linux install unbootable and it was something easily avoidable like that... oh well...
i've alsoooo been kinda randomly getting into the game insaniquarium lately!!! nothing particular sparked it, i was just rewatching a youtube series i like called epicore and remembered one of my favorite players on it (an animator(+other talents) i really look up to, ttguy10000!) is a fan of it so decided to check it out!! and can confirm i really see why, it's so charming, undoubtedly early 2000s and super fun. ^_^ i'm really enjoying it so far...
i actually didn't know going in that it was by the same studio that made plants vs zombies!!! that one i actually played as a lil kid, my brothers had it on their pc, though i remember finding it creepy and not really understanding how to play so i didn't touch it much xDD lool i was creeped out by pvz but was fine playing spore... weird little kid me...
oh yeah and i also!! started doing some captainly duties for my splatoon team, cuz our current Actual captain is dealing with some personal stuff that they're understandably more focused on than managing a team right now... but in any case i feel proud of myself for working up the courage to take up those responsibilities. i did kind of want to be captain but didn't believe in myself enough to ever offer and i worried my teammates wouldn't think i'd be a good fit either... i'm proving myself wrong though and i'm really happy about it... i hope i can continue to surprise myself. <33
finally i reconciled with a friend recently which i couldn't be more happy with!! i'd ended things off on a kind of sour note with them which i felt really guilty about but giving myself a few months to heal from it and grow as a person independently gave me the time to work up the courage to apologize... i'm very grateful to have been forgiven as they're a very dear friend to me...
but yeah!! that's pretty much all i have for the past few weeks in terms of updates, so i'll see you all again in a little while!! whenever it'll be i dunno.... but i'll be sure to come back with some interesting stories to tell and fun things to talk about!! toodles :D
